Cubejet Desktop 3D Printer

3D Systems' Colorjet Printing technology is the only 3D printing technology that allows for full color objects right out of the printer. The CubeJet is the printer that brought that technology to a desktop size at an economical price point. Two versions were produced. A fully functional show model was produced in eight weeks, kickoff to shipment. Existing 3D Systems parts along with dozens of custom designed parts were put together with new skins to show off the potential for this technology. The second version reimagined all relevant parts of the design. 6 Machines was solely responsible for the mechanical design of the show version and contributed a low-cost, three-degree-of-freedom print head gantry to the second version.
